Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and TruHive ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the TruHive platform.

You agree that by accessing the platform, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with all of these Terms of Use, then you are expressly prohibited from using the platform and you must discontinue use immediately.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms of Use at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of these Terms of Use, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change.

User Registration

You may be required to register with the platform. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

User Content

By submitting content to TruHive, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the content in connection with the platform and Company's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the platform.

You represent and warrant that: (1) the content is yours or you have the right to use it and grant us the rights and license as provided in these Terms, and (2) the posting of your content on or through the platform does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person.

Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the platform for any purpose other than that for which we make the platform available. The platform may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us.

As a user of the platform, you agree not to:

  • Systematically retrieve data or other content from the platform to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  • Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the platform.
  • Disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the platform.
  • Use any information obtained from the platform to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Post, upload, or share any content that sexualizes or exploits minors, or that may facilitate child sexual abuse or exploitation in any way.
  • Make improper use of our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.
  • Use the platform in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming, that interferes with any party's uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the platform or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the platform.
  • Engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to send comments or messages.
  • Delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any content.
  • Harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or agents engaged in providing any portion of the platform to you.
  • Attempt to bypass any measures of the platform designed to prevent or restrict access to the platform, or any portion of the platform.

AI-Generated Content

TruHive uses artificial intelligence to extract facts from news articles and to generate custom feeds based on user interactions. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete.
  • TruHive does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-extracted facts or AI-generated content.
  • You are responsible for verifying any information provided by our AI features before relying on it.
  • Any posts created on your behalf through our AI chat feature require your review and approval before publication.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Use.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the platform, or you may notify us that you wish to delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario. TruHive and yourself irrevocably consent that the courts of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
